can't activate Norton security settings prohibit running activeX

I installed Norton system works 2005 and I can't activate it because
microsoft security pops up "Your current security settings prohibit running
active X controls on this page." I'm running XP with SP2 I have lowered all
the security settings and all the other things Symatic Co. told me to also.
Could this be the Microsoft updates of a couple of weeks ago? I'm also
getting pop ups of security crap I have to click to go almost any place on
line or to any site. It is most annoying and I dont need to be reminded, I
know where I'm going and don't need Microsoft to alert me. Any help out

Check your Norton Internet Security settings and turn them *all* off,
at least until you get the Norton Activation issue resolved.
