Hi guys,

Well, everything was fine until I upgraded one of my desktops to XP Pro. Now
i have no problem accessing my other desktop and laptop (XP Home) from my XP
Pro desktop. Both Home desktop and laptop have no problem accessing each
other's files and folders, but not XP Pro files. A password box pops up each
time I try to get to to the XP Pro machine. So how can I get rid of this
password thing. Is there some kind of setting I'm supposed to change to
disable this password pop-up?
My XP Pro desktop is connected to a 2Wire access point-DSL modem and the
other two computer are connected to the same access point wirelessly.

Thanks for any help or hints.

you might try right clicking the c-drive then "properties" then "security" then under "everyone" check all the boxes for allow.

Run the Network Setup Wizard on XP Pro to fully enable file sharing.
That's usually all that's needed.

If you've explicitly defined a password for the Guest account on XP
Pro, enter it at the password prompt.

If you've explicitly disabled simple file sharing on XP Pro, see this
