Hi Steve,
I think you do not need to experiment on a computer you have your own
business on, that waste of your time and can escalate the problem further.
About the HOSTS file but not the one with Extension (.SAM) open it with
Notepad and Delete any references to the pre-mentioned sites you can save it
as is or rename it OLDHOSTS to remember that is the HOSTS file.
The last thing I could be of a help is to try the winsock repair after that
I don't like to experiment and cause more problem I hope you understand that
I'm being honest with you.
Try to dwonload it from this link and run it.
http://www.nasstec.co.uk/tools.html ( winsock fix)
then clear your caches and on Programs Tab click *Reset All Web Settings*
Press apply or [OK] and close and Refresh or Reboot is better.
and try the website.
Please let me know
Good luck

About hte HOSTS text file is in the following Path on *Window Explorer*

Hi Steve,
Try to check for any Malware/Grayware by downloading Anti-Adware/Virus
Scanner Software if you don't have one from here
http://www.download.com (spybot search and destroy free)
http://www.lavasoftusa.com (Ad-Ware SE free)
http://www.nasstec.co.uk/tools.html (for Avert Virus Scanner)
and see if the Malware are on your computers or not then proceed with next
step.
To find the *HOSTS * text file open your Windows Explorer and Click on the
Plus[+] Sign beside My Computer in the Left window of Explorer and go to
Windwos >> System32 >> Drivers>> etc or type it in your browser like this
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc.
and look for the *HOSTS* file in the right Window pane, the one without the
extension (Hosts.SAM) and open it in the NotePad, then Delete or remove any
listing reference for the Site you are trying to Open then Save and Close
the Notepad as it is HOSTS.txt your HOSTS file should looks like this:
# Copyright (c) 1993-1999 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
#
# For example:
#
# (102.54.xxx.xxx)I change this leave yours as they are
rhino.acme.com # source server
# (38.25.73.xxx) I change this leave yours as they are x.acme.com
# x client host
127.0.0.1 localhost
then if that was not of a help to you try to read this link carefully and
proceed with the approriate approach to your problem.

Hope this Helps

Hi again Nass
Thanks for your patience.
I'm confused as to which host file you mean. Can you specify the filename
and location
Can I email you a screen shot of all the host*.* files from one of the PCs
(how do I attach files in this forum?)

Thanks
Steve

Try to find the HOST file not the one with extension( HOST.SAM) open it in a
notepad ,delete any refernces for these pre mentioned websites if they exsit
in that file and rename it to oldhost and reboot your computer.
if it didnot work try to go to Command prompt by RUN >> cmd >> in the
command prompt type ipconfig /flushdns Press Enter
exit the Command prompt
and go to your IE and clear your caches reboot

Hi Nass
Thanks for your reply. The java installation has made no difference
Remember that ONE account on the PC it works fine on BOTH accounts. It's not
just a case of 2 PCs don't and one PC does.
IN short...
MY account always works on all machines. Ann's only works on ONE PC. The
other two PCs give us the blank page
Happy to keep trying if you are
