well, i have a linksys wireless network adapter, but I will try and
explain the problem in more detail
basically an error came up and said that windows explorer encountered and
error, the taskbar disappeared for sec then came back, and when it did, the
little computer screen icon that signifies data transfer on the network i am
on did not reappear, then when i went into network connections the wireless
connection no longer showed up there, i tried to refresh, but it still did
not appear, then i tried to click on set up a small home or buisness network
icon, but nothing happened, it acted like it wanted to start, but the setup
wizard never enabled, i tried unpluggin and plugging back in the usb cable
for the network adapter, but still nothing, in the task manager it shows up
as functioning properly but i cant seem to access it at all, as far as the
error goes, this is the error info that i got when i looked up the event,
Product: Windows Operating System
ID: 7005
Source: Service Control Manager
Version: 5.0
Component: System Event Log
Symbolic Name: EVENT_CALL_TO_FUNCTION_FAILED
Message: The %1 call failed with the following error:
%2
after that, the above i explained happened, now it will no longer enable
the small home or office network wizard and i can not access my wireless
connection even though the task manager shows that it is still available and
functioning.
