I want to add a destination to my sendto thingie. I get the message that I
don't have permission to access this folder (I am the administrator and the
sole user of this computer) and to edit Security in Windows and then I am
told that I have to use the Security Tab.

What/where is the security tab and what do I do there once I get there?

Thanks AL

Hi,

If you were trying to access this folder:

C:\Users\<user>\Sendto

then that is the wrong one. That is a junction point, not a folder. There is
nothing to access, it just redirects program requests to the real folder.
You can find yours by clicking start and typing:

shell:sendto

It should open to:

C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo

That's what I did. At start I typed shell:sendto and got the message 'you
don't have permission to access this folder. Click continue to get access to
this folder'.

I clicked 'continue' and got 'windows needs your permission to continue"

I clicked 'continue' and got 'you have been denied permission to access this
folder. To gain access to this folder you will need to use the Security tab.

So I clicked 'Security tab' and tried clicking and changing things at random
not knowing what I was doing and nothing worked. I can't get access to the
sendto feature. My problem is that I need to know what to do once I get into
the security tab.
