cant access secure sites

I am not able to access any page on the internet that is a secure page/site,
and am also unable to use the Windows Scan for Updates facility. Is anybody
else experiencing this problem. Could you fix it, if so please share your
wisdom

Hi Suzanne,

The post you tied onto is very old, you should have just start a new one.
Try this:

Start/run "regsvr32 softpub.dll"

See if it helps.

To fix the problem, take the following steps
1. Open a command-prompt window and typ

resvr32 actxprxy.dl

2. Click Enter
3. Typ

regsvr32 urlmon.dl

4. Click Enter
5. Close the command-prompt window
