I recently installed a new hard drive, formatted with
NTFS, and installed a new installation of Windows 2000. I
connected my prior drive, formatted with FAT32 and running
Windows 98, using the secondary IDE connector. When I
boot W2000, device manager sees both drives, but Explorer
only sees the primary drive. Partition Magic sees both
drives also, and says the secondary drive is formatted
Type 44. However, I can also boot from the secondary
drive, and when I do, Partition Magic sees both drives and
recognizes that the primary is NTSF and the secondary is
FAT32. Does anybody know what is going on, and how I can
get access to the secondary drive from Windows 2000, so
that I can retrieve data that is stored there?
