Although I have successfully accessed it before to have a 'look' at the settings, now I can't get in at all. Either on a Mac or PC. The IP address is correct at 10.0.0.138 for a Thomson Speedtouch Alcatel 510. I just get a standard error message.
Just wondering if I clicked on something I shouldn't have and if so what can I do?. If I switch broadband suppliers which I'm about to do, I obviously can't make any changes.
Any help much appreciated.

Hmmm, You usually access these via a blank web addess and typing ... 192.186.0.1

Try it abd see ... ;)

Also, this Router is UPuP ... put simply, look in "My Network Places" and you should see "Speedtouch" something or other ... double click-on it. :thumb:

mucks i think you mean 192.168.0.1 ;), but according to the specs for that router its the right IP he's using

what do you get ? 'the page cannot be displaed.....' ? or will it not let you login ?

Thanks for reply guys. In a blank window I use 10.0.0.138 and get the usual message: The page cannot be displayed

The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings.

etc..etc..

It also doesn't appear in My Network Places either. But as I said, in the past I have successfully logged in to have a snoop around. Can I get in to any other page other than 10.0.0.138/index.htm maybe??

Thanks for the support.

Arnie.

Yep I'm getting dixlexixses :p

Did you try 192.168.0.1

if that does not work then you have the Older 510 ... wish they would not use the same model number.

What OS are you using?

Have you used the "detection" wizard?

Win XP Home, I tried 192.168.0.1 and I get the same message as with the other IP address. It's working fine though in every other respect. Sorry not familiar with detection wizard - can you enlighten??
Thanks

The CD that came with the Router has its own software ... ;)

If it ain't broke ... DON'T FIX IT. :D

Good point - it's just that I'm about to switch Broadband providers and I want to re-configure it. But presumably I can do that through the CD application and/or re-installation yes??
