Cant access Remote DC

We have a serious problem with our domaincontrollers. When I go into active
directory users and computers and right click our domain and they choose to
connect to a different domain controller which is in a different site and
subnet I get the following error message:

The domain controller was not validated because:
The remote procedure call failed and did not execute.

I can ping and connect through remote desktop to the domain controllers but
cannot access through AD. Anyone has any ideas

It is possible that some of the ports used by AD (I'm thinking particularly
RPC) have been blocked. You can check this by downloading and using the
Microsoft Portqry tool.
