I am running XP pro, with my computer 'wired' to a MS
wireless router, which is connected to a cable modem. I
can no longer connect to AIM, MSN messenger or to a
remote computer using the Remote Desktop Connection. I
have tried two network cards, with the same result. I
have three other computers connected to the router with
wireless NICs. They work fine. I am not running a
firewall. These connections used to work.
The only changes to my system that I can think of are
Windows, and McAfee updates, which happen automatically.
And, I ran SpyBot to remove spyware. Any ideas how I can
get these remote connections going again?
