Can't access RD

Hi all,
I recently had to rebuild my PC and I am now having a problem
connecting with my RD.
I am running WIN XP, all updates. RD was running on the system before
it crashed.
What is happening now is that I get to the main screen and enter my
info, when I hit enter I get the following error.
It could not log me on and to make sure my typing is correct. I know
my log in name, and my password, so I am at a lost as to where to go
from here.
Did I make an entry somewhere that has my user name and password and
could have possibly entered it in correctly. When I boot up my system,
I have no problem logging in.
This happens in the LAN and WAN configuration.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I do use this quit often.

All that and you never gave the exact error?
I am pretty sure the error is not:
"It could not log me on and to make sure my typing is correct"

Please give the exact error - make sure your user/group is in the Remote
Desktop Users group,make sure you actually HAVE a password, make sure on the
remote machine your caps lock is not on, etc.

ok, let me see if I can draw a picture for you...I know my password
and user name are correct or else I would not be able to log into my
computer. The error code is "The system could not log you on. Make
sure your USER name and domain are correct, then type your password
again. Letters in passwords must be typed using the correct case."
Then the ok box.
I should have also stated that I am going through a wireless router
(Linksys), but again, everything worked until I had the system crashed
and had to reload a new system.
I can not RD to me laptop from the PC and I can not RD to the desktop
from the laptop, both on the same Linksys. I can not RD from work or
any WAN pc. So evidently I am missing something in the setup, but
what?
