can't access one computer on network

I see the computer on mine but when i click on it asks for username and password I am running xp and the other computer has windows 2000, I can see my computer on the other one and when I click on it I see the shared folder I made up. I hope someone can help

Create a user account on the windows 2000 computer with the same user
name and password that you use to log onto the xp computer.
