Can't access new virus scan software,keeps closing

Can't access my new Norton System Works. It is properly
installed but not activated. When I open it, the screen
comes up but only for 3-4 seconds then closes
immediately. I've reformatted my hard drive 3 times and
loaded ME Then XP. Talked to Norton Tech Rep and went
through all that could be wrong. He had me open the
registry edit file to check something and it only stayed
open for 3-4 seconds the same as Norton. That implies
that it is either Microsoft XP or my computer that is
causing this problem. I am very frustrated at this point.
I tried to have Microsoft help but it seems I have used
up my one shot for this matter. ANYBODY!!!!CAN YOU HELP

I don't know what your problem is however many people on
this newsgroup have had problems with norton 2004! It is
a norton problem not xp's

I had the same problem when I installed my norton
antivirus 2004. you may have virus in your computer. Try
running the program first in safe mode. Clean/kill any
virus detected then reboot and try running it in normal
mode.
