The following is the setup:
1. Terminal Services Client is installed on one Win98SE PC
2. The above Win98SE PC is one of six Win98SE computers
connected as a Peer-to-Peer Network Workgroup.
3. The six Peer-to-Peer computers use one Network connected
HP LaserJet 5 (HP5) Printer. The HP5 is connected to the
Network via an RJ45 cable to its Ethernet JetDirect Adapter.
4. The Network is connected by a DSL Router with 8-Port
Switch. Each of the six PCs is RJ45 cabled into a port
on the Router/Switch. The seventh Port is connected to a
Wireless Access Point. The other end of the RJ45 cable
that is connected to the HP5's Ethernet JetDirect Adapter
is a Wireless Bridge (no additional cabled wall RJ45 jacks
were available). Printing from any PC is fast and works
without any problems.
5. Windows 2000 Terminal Server is the remote system to log
into from the Win98SE PC running the Terminal Services
Client.
The Problem:
Logging into the W2K Terminal Server works fine. I am
unable to setup Printer Redirection so that a Terminal
Server application can print to the HP5 on the local
Peer-to-Peer Network. The Terminal Server cannot see/find
the HP5.
Can a Networked Printer work or does the Printer need to
be connected to the logged-in PC's LPT or COM port?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
