Can't access my websites on Geocities - yahoo

My internet explorer 6 sp1 can't visit uk.geocities.com,
keeps comming up with unable to access or finf. yet it
won't access any sites with uk.geocities.com in the
address and I have 3 websites in that. anyway all other
sites run and open quick and fine and had no problems with
pages or IE

Yahoo, and hotmail is OK and email OK

It may be a HOSTS file problem.
Look also for a file named HOSTS (no extension, could be hidden) rename it
OLDHOSTS.
