Can't access my excel file worksheets to work on

I have an Excel spreadsheet file (Office XP Professional
2002) that has 7 worksheets. I also save a duplicate copy
each time I make changes.

When I went to open my spreadsheet file today the window
where a worksheet appears is a dark grey solid. However,
the spreadsheet is in some sense open because the white
cell (not in the spreadsheet itself) below the toolbar
gives a cell location and the white cell to the right of
the "fx" symbol correctly describes the information in
the spreadsheet cell. I can also change the cell
location. Furthermore, if I go the print preview
function, it displays the worksheet that I last worked on
and I can print it! But other than that, I cannot see my
worksheets to work on.

My duplicate file is the same way. Note: after working in
a spreadsheet and saving it, I always resave it to the
duplicate disk location.

How can I gain access to my worksheets so that I can
again work in them?

Hi Harry,

Looks like the window has been relocated to a spot off-screen. Try
window, Arrange, tiled.

It could be more than off-screen -- it could be hidden too!
Let's suppose you like keyboard shortcuts like [Ctrl]+[a]
to select all and [Ctrl]+[p] to print. But suppose you
miss the [p] and press a [9] or a [0] instead. Try
selecting all of a blank book and then hit [Ctrl]+[9] and
[Ctrl]+[0]. Big grey screen? It's hidden.

Format->Rows->Unhide
Format->Columns->Unhide
Save->Smile->All Better
