First of all I get a message stating a problem with
C:\PROGRA~1\NEWDOT~1\NEWDOT~1.DLL Then I can't access the internet. I
also get a message saying that my windows firewall is off. When i go to the
security center and try to turn it on, it doesn't let me. All of this
started when I got a warning from my AVAST virus program, stating that there
was a trojan horse and virus. I did the recommended action, by moving the
files to the chest. then all of this happened. I am running Windows XP home
edition. Please Help Me!!!

Also when i try to restore to a restore point, the computer restarts and
sometimes my wall paper is the only thing displayed with no desktop icons or
anything. The other times i tried to restore, the same problem exists with
the PROGRA~1\NEWDOT~1\NEWDOT~1.DLL

Your computer is infested with malware and you need to clean it up. Go
through the removal steps at the link below systematically, doing all
the preparatory work:

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting
this isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a professional
computer repair shop (not your local version of BigStoreUSA).
