Can't access IE or OE

I have a host computer w/XP and another w/98SE. They used
to connect and access the internet OK. But a week or so
ago, I could not access the internet from my 98 machine.
After much re-configuring and fiddling, I re-ran the
network setup wizards on both and they can now see each
other and share files fine, but I still cannot access the
internet or my e-mail from the 98 computer. When I try, I
get a "This program has performed an illegal operation
and will shut down" message. (The programs open up fine,
I only get that message when I actually try and access a
web site or send/receive mail). Perhaps not
coincidentally, I have been getting a "Run dll32" error
message when Win98 starts up.

Any ideas out there? Thanks.

Having run a search on google for "dll32", it appears
there are two types of file - one which is part of
windows (dll32.dll)and therefore may need repairing /
replacing if this is what is causing the problem.

The other one is dll32.exe which is a Trojan - if this is
the problem, try a virus scan or do a search on your pc
to see if dll32.exe exists.

Try a search on google if you need to find out more about
the virus.

Interesting! I have a 'rundll32.exe' on my machine. Does anyone know what this
might mean?

TIA
