Can't Access Files

I upgraded one machine at home to XP Pro from W2K. I
have XP Pro on another new machine. I ran the netowrk
wizard and each machine is visible from the other. Also,
I can ping each machine from the other.

On the old machine I can access files from the new, but I
can't access files on the new machine from the old. When
I try, I am told that I don't have access privileges. I
have the same list of accounts on each machine. There is
no 3rd party firewall software and the Windows firewall
is off.

Any ideas??

Make sure each machine are on the same subnet mask. If
the subnet mask is different, the computer is effectively
located on a different network. Click Start, Run and
type "cmd" (without quotes) and press ENTER. Type
ipconfig or ipconfig/all. Make sure it is something like
255.255.255.0.

If the subnet mask is different, type ipconfig/release
then type ipconfig/renew if DHCP is present. Otherwise,
you'll need to configure the subnet mask manually.

Also, make sure NetBIOS over TCP/IP are enabled on all
machines. Details here.
