Hi,
I am sharing a folder on a machine running Windows XP Service Pack 3.
I haven't had trouble with this folder in the past, but lately I've
been unable to access files and folders. I tried to access it from a
Windows XP (Service Pack 2) laptop where I log into the same account
as the source computer, and I find that I can't run a number of
executables. These executables appear without the usual icons (for
example Opera's trademark O is absent, instead I see the generic
program icon) and when I click on them nothing happens. If I attempt
to copy the file I get the following error -- Access is denied.
There's a folder in the share that I can't open -- the error is
'Access is denied'. There are some folders and executables I have no
trouble with. How can I troubleshoot this??? I logged into both
computers as administrator and set the security to Full for Everyone
and still am unable to access these files. Please help
VERY FRUSTRATED
