Having scanned a colour photo print the image is covered with pale blue spots, as tho having been splashed with paint.

Re-install the Driver/software> clean the scanner plate [clear]

Have you tried cleaning the glass and the document cover?

Have you checked to see if there are any updated drivers?

**If you are running something other than XP then you will need to grab different drivers. All are available form Canon.

Looks very much to me like the scanner glass needs cleaning....
