Spent a flipping evening trying to resolve a incorrect colour problem
on my ip5000.
Yes, yes yes I changed the Magenta OEM tank, but the red's came out a
browny red, all the other colours was more or less ok, so in went a
fresh Magenta tank, a couple of flushes later... "this will do
it I said", nope wrong you are sir... so I changed the other
two colours and was just the same.
Having a spare print head I tried that... I discovered new words for
the dictionary as the fault was still the same. I finally sorted
the problem when I replaced the Magenta with a borrowed JR brand.
So you see folks I had two duff Canon OEM Magenta tanks, comparing the
inks the Canon's Magenta was certainly different being much deeper
looking.
Wonder how many other folks have been had..?
So the question now is how should I clean and store the original print
head or is it 'a clodder'.
