Try removing the printhead and then doing the reset. I have heard this works
for some Canon printers.
BTW at step 5 it is normal for the LED to alternate green/orange with each
press.

thx for the quick answer

I put that line in place to ensure tha the printer is in service mode

I have tried the steps without the printhead but it does not work, same
problem

OK. Worth a try.
Does the error alternate orange/green 7 times or blink orange only 7 times?
The first error is either waste pad counter overflow or Main logic board
failure. The second error is cartridge failure.

The orange is only blinking 7 times

thus one time green

Green orange orange orange orange orange orange orange Green ect.

thx for the answer

This error is not the waste counter but a cartridge problem (printhead failure).
Sorry for the bad news.
