Doesn't seem to be in stores yet, anyone know when it will be, or have
a good alternative?

I like the Canon line, just need a light-duty 4-in-1 for home use.

I like separate tanks, this uses a 4-color tank (I think) plus
separate black, and don't really need photo quality, but the 830 is
physically much larger, not to mention a few more bucks, but it *is*
in the store!

Gee, the Brother printers look cute, just don't believe I can trust
them.

Comments? Thanks.

Looks like a good machine. Seems to be exactly the same as the MP500
but it has the fax function, which previously was unavailable in
printers lower than the MP700 series. This finally puts another
4-in-one printer out there with (relatively) affordable OEM ink under
$250. (HP's first 4-in-one with large color ink tanks is $350 and I'd
be wary of Epson's CX5800F because it uses DuraBrite ink). Hopefully
it will get good reviews.

I think that Staples has an even cheaper Canon 4-in-1, but I can't
find it online, but it's not flatbed, and it really seems cheaply
made.
