Hey miserable kid, why don't you show us your real expertise in inkjet
printers?
You want people listen to you you need to convince them by showing you are
an expert.
Now how about this one? I have used refills and colors all looked fine.
But one day
I discovered the colors have changed. I got a color cast on each photo I
printed.
Please tell us what caused this?

Any number of things. Go to the Nifty-Stuff Forum, sign in, check the FAQ
link, and read through the first item about why your printer isn't printing
properly. If the color shift is toward magenta look for a poor feeding Cyan
cart - always look for the color opposite the shift. Most often, after
several refills you get a bit of dried ink partially blocking the sponge and
the outlet filter. This causes the cart to not feed properly. The air vent
can also have some dried ink which blocks air intake to offset the ink that
leaves the cart for printing. Read the info on the Nifty Forum about
purging carts. For about $5 worth of parts from a hardware store you can
make a simple device that hooks up to your sink and you can wash the dried
ink out to make most carts work as well as new again. Works great with OEM
Canon carts. I suspect that you already tried the cleaning cycles from your
printer software. Lest our troll tell you that it is because you use
aftermarket inks, Canon put those cleaning cycles in the software for their
own OEM inks. Nuff said. There are some head cleaning techniques on the
Nifty Forum as well. Worst case - you reached the end of the duty life of
the printhead if you printed a lot and you have to buy a new printhead.
Canon printheads don't have a very long duty life as indicated in their
literature.
