Hi --

After spending a year looking for a used color laser that will do 11x17, I
just discovered an inkjet model that may fit my needs.

Does anyone know anything good or bad about the Canon N2000 or its smaller
counterpart, the N1000?

Thanks again.

I bought one two years ago and have been very satisfied. It spits out
beautiful graphics and text faster than anything I have ever used before,
less than 30 seconds for an 11 X 17 almost edge to edge. The main drawback
is I have not found a way to refill the Ink Tanks. They are quite large and
last quite well but I have never had a printer that I could not refill the
tanks or cartridge. One user I corresponded with said there is a chip in the
tanks and if you do refill them they dump the whole load to the overflow
tank and quickly run it over. Once the chip says empty it is programmed to
dump the tank and will do so on a refill. Presently I don't have a job to
run in it so I have just been using it intermittently.

Thanks, Bud.

I am probably willing to buy new Canon ink tanks but was concerned about the
output quality as I cannot seem to find a sample print. Am comparing it to
an HP 9670 which has a higher resolution but I was unimpressed with the
print quality.
