gday,
have a Canon Multipass C100 Multifunction printer/fax which I am generally
pretty happy with but have one problem with the quality of received faxes
being really poor although the printer function seems to work quite fine.
Does anyone have any suggestions. FAQ on the Canon site was no help. Read
the user manual and the only setting which seemed relevant was ECM which
should be set to ON - checked and it was ON. Received faxes can be really
dodgy - not on every page like as if the printer heads need cleaning or
something and after a while, it seems to come good - eg. page 4 or 5 might
be ok but pages 1 and 2 are unreadable. However, I dont get this problem at
all with direct printing. Is there a draft mode for printing faxes and how
can I set it to high quality?? Dont think it is the quality setting of the
sending fax because this problem is not restricted to one particular sender.
Any suggestions??
cheers
