Hi
If you have the waste ink nearly full message and would like to fix it
yourself then you will need to do the following:
Order part No: QY5-0144-000 (These are a set of shaped sponges) I would
not reccomend trying to re-use the old ones.
Once you have the parts take your printer to peices (the sponges are
right at the bottom of the machine) Replace all the sponges. I suggest
taking photos as you go. Re-assemble your printer.
To clear the problem from memory go in to the service menue by
pressing:
Menu - Scan - Copy - Scan
Then cycle through the options to No. 5 (Ink Abs Capa)
Press OK
It should then say "SUCTION" on the screen at this point you should
enter a 0 (Zero)
Now either press OK or back out of the menu altogether.
Now turn your printer off and then back on again.
Sit back and smile you have just saved your self around £85.
I would not reccomend resetting the counter without tending to the
sponges, I have seen these when they are full and you would not want
them leaking on to your desk!
