I'm having some problems with this thing:

1. I can't figure out how to set defaults. Specifically, I want to set
the default to print greyscale rather than color. Is this possible?

2. The ink flow is so great, that the paper comes out saturated. I
can't figure out how to cut adjust the ink flow. Setting it draft
quality is too extreme. There is a dialog box for setting the ink dry
time, it it doesn't allow me to adjust it. So why is that box there?

Thanks for any ideas.

Go to Start>>>Settings>>>Printers and Faxes then highlight the MP780
printer and right click the mouse. Under the popup menu left click on
"Properties" and a settings window will appear. Under the "General" tab
click on "Printer Preferences" and another dialog box will appear with
numerous printer settings. Once you set them as you want then exit out
using "OK" and they should become the default settings. Changing when
printing from a program only keeps the setting as long as the program is
running. Once you close it down it reverts back to the defualt
settings. Changing settings the way I described should change the
default settings.

For plain paper I recommend using the "Standard" quality setting as the
"High" setting sprays too much ink for my taste.
