I have a three year old Canon MP700 Multifunction printer. For the
past 2 months the left edge of colour printing has been mutilated.

Does anyone have an idea if the problem can be rectified? I've done
the cleaning and deep cleaning routines but they make no difference.

If it is only one edge then it is unlikely, although not impossible, to be an
ink flow problem.
What exactly does "mutilated" mean, can you describe in a little more detail?
Does the problem occur when printing from the PC or when photocopying or both?

Thank you for replying.

There is a scan of a print here

The problem occurs from both printing and photocopying. The jagged
edge is enlarged on the photocopy.

Problem solved. It was a little strip of paper 8mm wide caught in the
printer.

Well done.
Just got in and saw your image and was about to suggest you looked for a scrap
of paper.
Seems I'm redundant!

I'm sure you're not redundant. :-)

The jagged edge was the indicator. I just don't remember having a
paper jam in the printer, but I must have had one at some time.
