Hi

Can someone tell me does this printer work as a copier without a
computer? I know it is listed as a stand alone copier but I also read
that the cartridges have to be aligned every time they are changed and
I thought it would probably need to be attached to a computer for that.

Thanks.

I can't speak for the mp130, I can speak for the mp760 also by canon.
In the case of the mp760 alignment can be done from the printer's menu
and doesn't require a PC be attached. In fact it doesn't require you
to do jack other than print a piece of paper and the printerhead sees
it's own output and makes the right adjustment.

So I don't know for a fact that the mp130 will operate without a pc,
i've never met one, but it at least is possible.

This printer is able to be used as a stand alone copier.
Cartridge alignment does have to be done each time a cartridge is replaced but
a PC is not required.

This machine uses the BCI24 series and a permanent head.
So it does not have to be aligned when an ink cartridge is changed only for
head replacement.
