canon mp 600 "wrong cartidge"

HELP.....

I have a "wrong cartidge" message on my canon mp600, does anyone have a tip
to resolve the problem...I can't print anymore

not always, i have used other brand ones for the last year or so, that
worked very well up until now....
 
Do yourself a favour. Don't answer the other responder to your question, all he
does is try to make trouble and insult people.

Your printer uses cartridges that do not have any sort of chip or electronics
so the error message you mention does not seem to make sense.
Are you sure the exact words of the error message are "wrong cartridge"?

the alarm light flashes and a the text "wrong cartridge" appears on the
screen...
Hasn't anybody else encountered this problem?
 
I have done a little research and in most case the problem is a failed
printhead, the error message is misleading but it seems that the solution is a
replacement printhead.
They are user replaceable but quite expensive compared to a replacement printer.
Sorry for the bad news.
