Canon iP11500

Does anybody know where a person can get a new iP1500 in the US?? I
looked at the new iP1600 and it is almost the same thing, until you
get to the cost of replacement cartridges! Damn, I'll bet Canon
doesn't even give you a cigarette after screwin' ya for those puppies!

I've got some elderly folks here that just need a cheap, easy kinda
dependable printer. They don't print photos and such.

CONSIDER THE IP5200 OR THE IP4200 THAT IS SLOWER AND NOT AS GOOD TEXT
AND GRAPHICS RESULTS.

Since the ip1500 is no longer available and you are looking for a cheap
solution maybe you should consider an HP entry level printer. They are
competitively priced and if these folks do not print a lot the ink costs are
not too bad. They also have the advantage of getting a new printhead with the
cartridge if the printheads clog through little use. Also some of these models
will print without a colour cartridge which offers some savings if they only
want to print e-mails and such but you need to check that for any model you
consider.
Yes I know the HP carts are costly but it is a balance between the amount of
printing they do and the risk of clogging. HP carts are just about all
refillable.
