Canon i965?

Anyone know when this might hit US shores? I see the i960 available from
Canon but no mention of the 965. Was thinking of picking up a 950 until I
heard word of the 965. Hopefully soon....?
 
Seems to have a few different specs.....4800x1200 for the 960 and 4800x2400
for the 965? Also the 965 is supposed to be able to print to CDs....no
mention of this on the 960 page.....is this just another instance of the US
market getting a lower product package such as happened with the Epson
2200/2100?

In a word YES.

The reaon has something to do with copyrites involved with printing Cd
blanks.

Because of similar reason (legal stuff) CloneCD was stopped developing in
Germany. I've heard that it will be developed further, but in other country,
other company.
