Canon i965 - only prints half of a CD !?

I tried to print my first CD-R today - followed the instructions
carefully...

1. Slid in the tray feeder until it clicked.
2. Pushed in the slider on the feeder.
3. Put a CD onto the CD-R tray
4. Slid the CD-R tray in to match the white arrows with the ones on
the tray feeder unit.
5. Print.

It takes the tray & disc all the way into the printer, starts printing
but then only prints the top half on the CD (*exactly* half). The
half that does print looks great!

Anyone know what's going on!?

Ok - as usual, I found the error not long after posting a request for
help! [sigh!] Not sure what it was, but I tried downloading a
software update from Canon (which didn't fix it). Later I restarted
the computer - and it now works. Go figure!

It's a GREAT printer by the way... I printed a "cheap & nasty"
printable CD and it looks like it was produced by a professional
manufacturer. (Much better print quality on a CD-R than on paper.)
Now if Canon can only start using waterproof ink - they'll bury Epson
for good (and what a wonderful day THAT will be). }: \

Just Allan,
I have found that rebooting the PC after a software or driver installation,
even if the installation process doesn't require it, as very prudent. I also
reboot PC, after removing software, again even if the removal program
doesn't require it.

At the very least, "it couldn't hurt".

For this to be true they will also have to improve their heads so they won't
die so often...
But in general, i agree with your wishes - at least partly. i don't know did
you mean just waterproof ink or pigmented one...but pigmented one makes
photos look non glossy, even with that famous gloss optimizer, which doesn't
work well. So, as usually, one good, one bad side...
BTW...my ip4000 also works great--so far.. :-)

I have the i905D
and it works fine, only thing I can think of is
you have the CD in the circle on the Cannon Software program
