Canon i900D vs i960

Hi,

I am debating between these two printers. The i900D would be useful for
its card slots. My mom could really use that. but the 960 has twice as
many nozzles. Some reviews say the two machines have identical quality
and the 960 is only faster. Is this true? Or is there really some small
difference in quality that those reviews don't mention?

Quality is most important to me. If the quality of the two is indeed
equal, I would go for the 900, but I wouldnt want to do that and later
find that speed was not the only difference.

The Tom's Hardware article (May 2003) has some performance assessments you
won't find at the Canon site.

However, you do need to go to the Canon site (you probably have already) to
compare the i960 and the i900D.

If your mom wants to print directly from the photo memory card without using
a computer, the i900D choice is a no-brainer.

If she eventualy gains an interest in using the computer to manage and edit
digital camera images, the i900D is still a good choice.

I would opt for the i960 for its better picture quality and faster printing.

which mention both models seem to say that the only differences between
the two as a result of the different number of nozzles is that the i960
is quite a bit faster. I have not been able to find anything that states
the i960 is any better in quality. If this is true, can someone point me
in the right direction to a source for this info? The main point of my
original post was to determine if the i960's better quality (if indeed
that is the case) outweighs the obvious additional capabilities of the
i900D. I'm sorry if this was not more clear.
