The original BCI-3eBK does contain pigmented ink, doesn't it?

As it seems most 3'rd-party cartridges use only dye black (both in 3eBK and
6BK) ???

Comments on this!? Good, bad?

In Europe it seems to be difficoult to get hold of both cartridges and /or
refill-ink of pigment-ink.
Are there any other pigmented ink that comes close enough to the
3eBK-original?

Yes, one is a Dye Black (regular 3e) and the other is pigment (BK).

Pigment black is used for text printing... when printing photos, I believe
the print uses mostly dye black.

Now, correct me if I'm wrong.
The cartridge arrangements are directly from the i865 broschure.

The printer has CMY cartridges BCI-6 and Black BCI-6BK. It seems rational if
these 4 are micronozzles and all dye based.

The large black is a BCI-3eBK. Large size means also probably large nozzles
intended for text production and good speed. Pigmented? (I guess so, but I'm
not sure)

But my question is about the ink itself since most third party inks seem to
be dye based also for the BCI-3eBK.
Is it pigmented ink in the original BCI-3eBK?
Is dye based black ever moist secure and /or UV-safe?

And what does the small "e" stand for?
