The 965 is by far better for photoprinting. However Canon does not include a
range of ICM profiles like Epson . . .

I can't compare with the 965 but I've had the 865 for a couple of months
now. Superb quality of photos and text, reasonably quick and quiet. Software
works well - I've just used the 'auto' setting for everything and results
superb. The CD tray and photo printing attachments are rather plasticy, and
a fiddle to attach, but work well. Also, switches on and off automatically.

the "5" is the rest of the world other then North America. I also think it
comes with a tray to print directly to a blank cd.

Otherwise the machine and it's innards are the same.

: I have only seen the i860 and i960. Are the '5' series different?
