I'm thinking of buying this tonight. I was wondering if anyone had any
opinions? I will be using it for school. Could someone tell me the best type
of paper to use or at least a good paper to use for printing text and
pictures from the internet? TIA

For basic text and graphics, any coated paper will do fine. For more
vibrant colours, use 99+ brightness inkjet paper and set the printer
settings to "vivid colors".

For photos, I use Office Depot 8.5x11 photo paper. It produces excellent
quality prints that are durable and waterproof. I hear Red River also
works well.

I have used the i860 since it came out last September and have been totally
satisfied with it. The only complaint is it takes a while (9-15 seconds)
when you hit the print button until it actually starts printing...but the
results are worth the wait!!! Good luck with your new purchase

Thanks for all the help. I went ahead and bought it. Thanks again. I
appreciate the response.

I also use Red River Paper with my i950. These folks are a class act.

They have sample kits you can pick up cheap that are extremely complete and
are cheap so you can try out everything they have.

Larry, I use RR 68lb UltraPro Gloss #1656 with my few Canon 8200 & my
s9000....and the results are outstanding.....But the Canon Photo Pro is sill
a hair better........Can you elaborate a little on this.....
