Does i850 support poster printing. It does not show up in dropout of printing type in page setup.
Thanks

Try this
start/control panel/double click "Printers and Faxes"
right click on Canon I850 printer icon/click on "Printing
Reference..."/click on "Page Setup" tab

You will find "Printing Type" defaulted to "Normal-size
Printing" clicking on the the down arrow opens the other
choices. The fifth one down will be "Poster Printing,"
highlight it. On the left side of Canon i850 Printing
Preferences you should see a page that shows the paper
divided into 4 sections. To change click on the "Specify"
button.

(The following was taken from Canon BJ Printer Help Guide
for poster print using an I850)

Setting Poster Printing

1. On the Page Setup tab, select Poster Printing for
Printing Type.

This completes the setup for poster printing by dividing
the original document into four.
You can preview the result in the Preview window.

2. If necessary, click Specify... to specify the
following settings:

- Changing the number of image data divisions
Select the number of divisions from the Image divisions
list. As the number of divisions increases, the number
of sheets used for printing increases, allowing you to
create a larger poster.

- Leaving out words "Cut" and "Paste"
Uncheck the Print "Cut/Paste" in margins check box.

- Leaving out cut lines
Uncheck the Print "Cut/Paste" lines in margins check box.

3. Select All for Print page range.

- Printing only specific pages
Select Pages in the Print page range and enter the page
number you with to print. To print multiple pages,
specify the printing range by separating the pages with
commas or entering a hyphen between the page numbers.

4. After completing all the necessary settings, click
OK.

After all poster pages have been printed, paste the pages
together to create the poster.

Printing only specific pages

If the ink becomes faint or runs out during the printing,
you can selectively reprint specific pages. Do this as
follows:

1. In the Preview window, sequentially click the pages
that do not need to be printed.

The pages that were clicked are deleted, and only the
pages to be printed are displayed.

Notes:

To redisplay a page that has been cleared, click that
page again.
To display the menu, right-click the preview window.

Select Print all pages to display all pages.
Select Delete all pages to clear all pages.

2. When you have decided which pages to print, click OK.

Note:

When Poster Printing is selected, the Duplex Printing and
Reverse Order check box appears dimmed and cannot be
selected.
