After getting a low ink level warning(magenta color), how many 4x6 color
prints can I expect to get before the cartridge is actually empty? I don't
want to replace the cartridge before it's necessary.

Thanks

I don't have a number but two suggestions. You can see the level of the
ink in the sponge after the ink chamber is empty. Just before the sponge
is dry the printer will stop printing that color. Since ink may be required
to cool the printhead damage may occur if you try to print too much
on an empty cartridge. The number of prints you can get from the
residual ink in the sponge is dependent on the density of that ink in
the print. Second suggestion is to buy refill ink specific for that
printer and learn to refill. I can refill a cartridge in less than a minute
for a cost of less than a quarter of a dollar.

If the catridge is really empty, you get another message that will say that
the catridge is indeed empty.
