Not worth it. New printers are inexpensive and the technology has improved. Get
a new printer.

Now if you mean it's not worth actually replacing the waste ink pad if
it's really full, you're probably right. However, I just reset the
counter on my eight-year-old Canon BJC-50 for maybe the fourth or
fifth time without any ill effects. Not that Canon isn't still making
money off me on this thing, mind you. They're about to pick my pocket
for another $50 for a new printhead.
