I have a Canon i450 that I only use occasionally. I may print some
stuff over a day or two, and then nothing for six weeks. It is
typical to have long stretches between printings.
So I wondered if it would help keep things from drying out if I put
tape over the little holes in the ink tank tops during the idle
periods. I understand the tape would have to be removed for
printing so ink will flow.
Is this worth bothering with?
If it matters, I'll be using the noname Chinese "compatible" ink
cartridges that I just received from forinkjets.com. They are dirt
cheap, and who knows, they may even work.
