Canon i250 - no black output; color not checked

Hello --

Although previous posts describe this printer as disposable; I would like to
save it if I can.

I have used the following utility choices:
Clean
Deep clean
Nozzle check - nothing prints

Print test page - nothing prints

Have I exhausted all the processes and tests a non-printer-expert can do?

If you recommend that I throw it away, can you recommend a good printer in
the $50-100 price range?

I'm not sure about that cheap little printer, but I pull the print head
on other Canons and clean the nozzles in reverse first using a WaterPik
on full pressure. Then I have a rubber hose and syringe that fits over
the ink input port. I force hot water through that way and watch all
the nozzles spraying in the sink. If I put ink in the tanks then and it
doesn't work, the head is probably bad. Cleaning in this way is also
good preparation for long term storage without clogging.
