canon cr2 files

I was able to view files from a EOS350D with the raw image viewer and it also
produced thumbnails. The new EOS400D files with the same extension ie CR2
cannot be viewed and does not produce thumbnails. Any one have a suggestion?

Same extension...different SDK. The inability to
support certain RAW files is due to the SDK for
the files being released later than viewer was
released.

Maybe you could view the files with the freeware:
