I only have experience with HP plotters and have found them to be nearly
bullet proof. I still use an HP DesignJet 220E plotter and it has
needed just one minor repair in the last 8-10 years. I plot
construction plans with mine so I can't comment regarding photo quality
printing. If I were in need of a new large format plotter/printer today
I would probably buy an HP based on my past experience with that brand.

The w9000 is . 60 inches IIRC. I double checked the width and it looks
like the designjet 5000 and 5500 come in 42 inch and 60 inch models.
Based on what you said before... I assumed you needed 36 inch for some
reason. But it would be handy to know the size you require.

I don't see the w9000 often, except some years back at tradeshows.
