I sent an email to CanonUSA to inquire about drivers for my printer (Canon
i960) and Winxp64. This was the reply I received:

have you tried to see if there are drivers in winXP64 for your device.

I found that most of my stuff is supported

Well that is real interesting as I sent them an email last week asking about
XP64 drivers for my Canon Scanner and they sent me back a email stating they
do not have any plans to do any drivers for my scanner.

Then this morning someone from Canon phoned me and wanted to do a survey
with me and I told them sorry but I have a scanner I bought from your
company that you have now told me you will not be doing xp64 drivers for so
I will be getting a new scanner but I will never buy Canon again then I just
hung up. How dare they phone me and it wasn't even 9AM yet. Canon can get
lost.

Hmmm, thanks for that.

I have a Canon i9950 which is not listed on the American site, as the
American's only have up to the i9900. I wonder if the American developers
therefore will create 64 bit drivers for my i9950.

It's a new and very expensive printer, and I'm going to be really annoyed if
Canon can't/won't provide support for it.

Same printer, different model number. i9900 in North America, i9950 in
Europe.
