Canon and ColorSync: where's the love?

Has anybody had any luck accessing ColorSync printer profiles using
the Canon S820 printer driver? Whenever I choose ColorSync as my color
correction method the printer profile always says "Recommended by
Canon" and doesn't allow me to access any other profiles.

You can access these through Adobe Photoshop (and Elements) and probably
other software. You turn off color management on the printer and handle
it through the app. It is a pain, but it works.
