Put a new Dell Optixplex machine to Windows 2000,
everything seemed good, but when my first user tryed to
log in she got the following error:

Windows cannot create a profile user.pds

She can't not get a profle, which is affecting her use of
the network. Can't figure out how to resolve this.

There is a Default User folder too.

Very Respectfully,

What version of antivirus are you using? There is a known issue with Norton
Antivirus 6.0/7.0.

This issue can be resolved by updating Norton Antivirus version 6.0/7.0 to
version 7.51 build 54b.

There had been no Anti-Virus software loaded yet on the
computer.

Adobe Acorbat 6.0, Officer 2000, and Turbo Prep were the
only loaded software.

Have you checked your ntfs permissions?

As far as I can tell, it looked good, but what do you
recommend I doule check? I am trying everything I can

Thanks.

Further trouble shooting has shown that every other user
who logs in gets their profile no problem- just this one
account is having problems. What do you advise now??
Thanks.

Are roaming profiles used? Could she have a corrupt profile?
