Cannot Write TO CD

SHEPERDGROUP

My CD player can read existing files on CD, but cannot
write files from PC to the CD,(tested on many different
files). Can read & write to same CD on another PC's CD
player. Could write malfunction be cause by CD's driver
corruption. Any advice appreciated. Thanks!

Is recording enabled?
In Windows Explorer, right-click the CD drive letter, click
PROPERTIES|RECORD tab

THis sounds as if you are trying to use a CD-RW that has been formatted
for 'packet writing' using a third party package like DirectCD. XP does
not have that sort of burning built in: you need to install the same
